Hmong Pathways provides free college-planning guidance for students, families, counselors and community partners. This page explains how we handle information and how to contact us about privacy or accessibility.

Privacy

Using Hmong Pathways

You do not need to create an account or log in to read our guidance. You do not need to provide your name, financial information or student records to use the website.

Contacting us

If you email hello@hmongpathways.org, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use your message to respond to your inquiry, address a reported problem or follow up on feedback.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, tax returns, financial-aid documents, school records or other sensitive information. A brief description is usually enough to explain your question.

Website operation and usage information

Our website services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of a visit. This information helps deliver pages, maintain security and identify technical problems.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages visitors view and how they find and use Hmong Pathways. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information about website visits, devices and interactions. Google processes this information to provide reports that help us improve the website. Learn more about how Google uses information from websites that use its services.

Sharing and keeping information

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Service providers that support the website and email may process information as part of delivering those services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

We limit access to correspondence to people who need it to handle the matter. We keep messages while responding and completing related follow-up, or longer when needed to meet legal obligations. We keep technical records only as long as needed for website operation, security and troubleshooting, subject to the settings of the services we use.

You can contact us to ask about information you have shared or request its deletion. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Links to other websites

Our guidance links to colleges, government agencies, testing organizations and other resources. Their websites have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.

Accessibility

Our approach

We want students, families and supporting adults to be able to use Hmong Pathways, including people with disabilities.

Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines help make websites easier to use with different abilities and technologies.

Our design priorities include clear headings, readable contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptions for meaningful images, and layouts that support enlarged text. We use these priorities to guide development and improvements; they are not a guarantee that every visitor will encounter no barriers.

Tell us about a problem

If you have difficulty reading, navigating or using a page, email hello@hmongpathways.org. Include the page address, what you were trying to do and what went wrong. You can also tell us which browser or assistive technology you use, if that helps explain the problem.

You do not need to disclose a disability or medical information. We will review the issue and work toward a practical way for you to access the information.

Updates and contact

We update this page when our practices or accessibility information change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
